Are you drinking enough water?

We all know that the human body is made up of 60-70% water! So, are you doing your part to make sure that your body stays hydrated? Every day you lose water through breathing, perspiration, urine and bowel movements. For your body to function properly, you must replenish its water supply by consuming beverages and foods that contain water.

It is recommended that you drink eight 8 ounce glasses of water per day with is 64 ounces and equivalent to a half gallon.  This is the MINIMUM you should be consuming!

If you are an individual who works in high heat, does a lot of strenuous activity, or is very active you should be drinking more than 64 ounces per day! When you workout your body loses more water through increased perspiration and extra, heavy breathing. So, if you are exercising a lot or doing a lot of physical activity you should drink between 64 (half gallon) and 128 (gallon) ounces of water per day.  Your body will let you know if you need water too! If you are thirsty drink water! :)

I get the comment from people quite frequently that people "do not like water".  I always find that interesting since our body's majority composition is water.  So, here is an idea to help you get used to drinking water! Add some fruits to it!

Another idea is to add those little, individual Propel water bottle packets.  They are not as good as just plain old regular water.  But, that brand does not have aspartame in it so that is personally what I use sometimes!  Just an added option that is WAY better than soda or other sugary drinks!
